Telaga Air Fishing Village

After our breakfast, we proceeded to the Telaga Air Fishing Village. We were so happy because the villagers put up a kompang welcoming performance.

At first we felt anxious because the villagers pulled us out to dance as well. However after a while we felt comfortable and we danced so well.

We were quite surprised to see Mr Sham dancing very well.

After the dance we learnt how to make kuih Bahulu. We tried to stir the egg mixture using a spring-like beater. Then the mixture was poured into a steel tray to be baked. On top of the steel tray we put charcoal so that the kuih bahulu will cook evenly.

After eating our delicious kuih bahulu, we tried playing the Malay drum called rebana and kompang. It was not easy trust us!

Such a good start with nice breakfast

Our breakfast was awesome.
There were omelette, cereals, toast bread and so much more.
We really enjoyed our breakfast that we took another round of food.

Hotel 360 nice!

After the short city tour we finally get to check in.

Our rooms are clean and nice.

From our room we can see Sarawak river, Santubong Mountain and the city.

There is a swimming pool, but we are not allowed to go near it.

After cleaning up, we had a wonderful and fun time having dinner with children from the Sarawak Society for Community empowerment (SPACE).

Uncle Jerry performed many funny tricks. He did many balloon sculpture and gave everyone of us a balloon each. We play many games with the SPACE children. At the end of the dinner, Mr Sham and uncle Jerry dance with all of us.

It was really an unforgettable night. We had so much fun.

Finally we get to shower and lie down on the bed.

Sarawak here we come... Pottery!

We enjoyed our lunch on board the aircraft...

Upon reaching the Kuching airport, we were greeted with such nice weather almost haze free. No more wood burning smell.

Next, we proceeded to the pottery making factory and had hands on experience on making pottery. Look at the 'professionals' at work.

Next, we went on a short city tour and by pass the cat statue.

Everyone feels quite tired and only looking forward to check in at hotel 360.

Terminal 2 gate F40 bye bye Singapore

We were worried because Bareerah brought the wrong passport. After what seemed like eternity, Bareerah and Mr Sham appeared at gate f40. We were so happy that we cheered for them.

Learning point:
To check and double check passports and other important documents before leaving home
To always give more time at the airport in case something unexpected crops up
